Jim Dresher is Founder, CEO, and Principal of Skye Hospitality, LLC. Dresher founded Skye in 1996 after nearly 20 years as a McDonald’s franchise owner.
A graduate of The Mercersburg Academy and Rutgers University, Dresher has opened, owned, and operated 25 restaurants and hotels since the 1970’s. Those restaurants and hotels have won numerous awards for development, marketing, and operations. Most recently, Skye’s Residence Inn at Arundel Mills and their Fairfield Inn & Suites in White Marsh were both named as Marriott’s Hotels of the Year.
“We are not in the hotel business, we are in the hospitality business, and we succeed in this business because we recognize that people come first”. This creed, which stresses service to people, has been Jim Dresher’s mantra for his entire career. The Skye management team has carried that focus on to the finest details of hotel operations.
Mr. Dresher has always dedicated significant time to serving the greater Baltimore community. He is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and serves on the boards of Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins Medicine. He is also a board member of the Greater Baltimore Committee and the Maryland Horse Breeders Association.
J. William Bello is Skye Hospitality's president and chief operating officer. He is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the company's ten open hotels as well as the development of properties under construction.
Mr. Bello has a track record for escorting construction of hotels from the design phase through the grand opening and beyond as well as large scale renovation projects. He has written project scopes, managed capital expenditures and overseen the construction of multi-million dollar building projects. Mr. Bello has successfully managed the design, construction, furnishing and staffing of ten hotels since joining Skye Hospitality. Four are located in White Marsh, Maryland. Four are at Arundel Mills Mall in Hanover, Maryland. One is located in Baltimore City next to Oriole Park at Camden Yards and one is in Hunt Valley, Maryland.
Prior to joining Skye Hospitality, Mr. Bello was with Marriott International for 25 years.
Christopher Hotaling is the Vice-President of Finance for Skye Hospitality. Mr. Hotaling joined Skye Hospitality in 2001. Prior to joining Skye, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Big Steaks Management (Ruth's Chris Steak Houses) in Baltimore. Mr. Hotaling is a member of the Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals - Baltimore and Washington DC Chapters and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Accounting.
Joshua Dresher is Skye Hospitality's Director of Development. He is responsible for locating new hotel sites. Mr. Dresher is also involved with conceptual design requirements, project budgeting, managing all architects, engineers and contractors throughout the completion of all construction phases.
Prior to joining Skye Hospitality in 2004, Mr. Dresher worked as a commercial real estate broker specializing in office and industrial tenant representation with a local brokerage and development firm in Baltimore. Josh is a 2001 graduate of Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance.
Harold Nussenfeld is a Principal of Skye Associates, a private investment firm. Prior to joining the investment management and venture capital field, Mr. Nussenfeld was an Attorney in private practice for more than 15 years. In addition to serving as an Officer or Director of numerous privately held companies, Mr. Nussenfeld also held General Counsel positions with UniData Inc. and with Zimmerman International Corp. Mr. Nussenfeld holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Johns Hopkins University and a J.D. from the University Of Maryland School Of Law.
Patricia Bither is Skye Hospitality's Director of Revenue Management. She is responsible for balancing the financial objectives of different lodging products to maximize total revenues as well as overseeing all processes associated with demand, revenue and inventory and forecasting.
Ms. Bither has been in the hospitality industry for over 25 years. Having served in a variety of leadership roles, she has earned several awards and promotions that have led to her newest position. With her extensive background in the market and within Hilton and Marriott systems, she has the proven ability to manage pricing, distribution and revenue management for the Skye Hospitality portfolio of hotels.
Chris Guerrero is Skye Hospitality's eCommerce Manager. He is responsible for the web presence of our properties across all web channels including but not limited to brand.com, third-party travel sites, and Skye's presence across all Social Media channels.
Working closely with our brand partners, Chris ensures the individual property websites are robust and optimized at all times. He also assists in the marketing efforts by supporting the sales team in electronic revenue generation efforts and effective implementation of our brand partner's eCommerce initiatives. Chris closely monitors and reports key property web analytics, and ensures Skye's high standard for service excellence is reflected through the overall guest experience on review sites. Chris also strives to engage current and potential consumers through emerging social media markets and channels.
Chris has extensive background in select service properties including extended stay, with pre-opening, turnaround, and project management as his specialty. He also has strong experience in sales, marketing and promotions. Chris has a true passion for service excellence which is reflected by the numerous awards properties and team members have received under his leadership. Prior to joining Skye Hospitality, Chris held numerous operations-based positions including Operations Director, General Manager and Assistant General Manager at full, select, and extended-stay hotels across the Mid-Atlantic region.
Chris earned the designation of Certified Hotel Administrator in 2004 from the American Hotel & Lodging Association and serves on the Hotel Advisory Board for The Hospitality, Culinary Arts & Tourism Institute at Anne Arundel County Community College.
