James T. Dresher, CEO

James T. Dresher, Jr. is the founder of Skye Hospitality.
Prior to starting Skye, Mr. Dresher co-owned twelve McDonald’s restaurants and later
owned several Golden Corral restaurants. As Skye’s CEO, he has developed and
continues to operate several successful and high profile hotels.
Mr. Dresher combines his experience as a multi-unit
franchise owner of restaurants and hotels with his strong development skills
acquired through 30 years of site selection, market analysis, project
development, and business operations. His companies have consistently ranked at
the top of every franchise system for customer satisfaction, quality of
operations, facilities management, and financial performance. He has been
awarded the Pinnacle Award from Hilton Hotels and the Golden Arch award from
McDonald’s, naming him one of the top five franchise owners in the United
States. Recently, Hilton Hotels gave Dresher their Deal of the Year Award,
recognizing the unique and entrepreneurial qualities of one of his hotel
ventures.
Mr. Dresher is active in his community, serving on the
Board of Trustees of Johns Hopkins Medicine, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Johns
Hopkins Medical Center (Vice-Chairman) and The Greater Baltimore Committee. He
is a Past President of the Essex-Middle River Chamber of Commerce and was a
founding board member of Baltimore’s Ronald McDonald House.
